TV| Lets talk about crime baby, lets talk about you and me?

Human beings fascinate me. I love their resilience, I celebrate success and triumph when I see it. I feel sadness when I see wars etc. Criminals on the other hand are another species.I sometimes wonder if it ever crosses the criminals minds that they will get caught. Out there there are some OCD sufferers with schizoid tendencies called the POLICE they will make sure you are caught and put to jail.




I am a fan of true crime shows and recently I have started watching" The first 48" religiously. This show focuses on the first 48 hours after a crime has been committed and how police are frantic to find a lead. I am not exactly a fan of the police and I will tell you why in a minute.On one particular episode I swear this one detective worked the full 48hrs without ever going home. When they generated a lead by very deceitful and dubious means she managed to do a Beyonce booty shake. Watching this episode made me realise when a crime is committed for some cops its not about justice at all. It is an opportunity to well booty shake.

I would think with the prospect of ever meeting booty shaking cops , the ones that force a confession out and the insomniac cop it would have dawned on the criminals that  they have no chance. Another funny one was when the criminal was aprehended he says to the producers of the show "I know you guys, you are from the first 48 are't you ?" He obviously has seen the show before but he still and went on and commited a crime. The show has been very successful that soon they might be auditioning the criminals.
